If this sector is located in the bedroom, do not place the bed beneath the windows as it creates the feelings of vulnerability and lack of support. It will be best to have the bed beneath a full wall to have a full support. If not then by placing a screen between the head of the bed and windows has the same significant.
Under no circumstances to have the bed place on the same wall as the door as it will cause disagreements. Ensure that the bed is also not facing the toilet and keep the toilet door closes when not in use. Must sure that your bed is not located at a wall with the toilet on the other side otherwise it will result to physical ailments due to energy drain.

West

The West is symbolized by the White Tiger. The West is an area of unpredictability, even danger. It contains warfare and strength, the autumn, anger, suddenness and potential violence. The ch'i that comes from the West is known as shan ch'i = changeable ch'i. Changeable ch'i, if allowed to stagnate, degenerates into dangerous sha - causing you to act rashly. The West's color is white and its element is Metal.
White is the color of the West so you should consider white in your furnishings in this area. However white is not the only colour - as there are both auspicious and inauspicious colour combinations. Yellow/ Metallic combination is excellent in the West. Yet Red/Metallic combinations are very bad in the West.
Metal is the element of the West - so metal appliances, televisions, stereos and computers are good in this area. In the Productive Cycle of elements, Earth is good for Metal - so ceramic pots can also be used in the West. In the Destructive Cycle of elements, Water exhausts Metal so never place fountains, bird baths or fish tanks in this area.

The North-West combines the nurturing ch'i of the North with the changeable ch'i of the West, producing expansive ch'i. Expansive ch'i, if allowed to stagnate, degenerates into unpredictable sha - causing you to feel unsettled.
White is the colour of the North-West so you should consider white in your furnishings in this area. However white is not the only colour - as there are both auspicious and inauspicious colour combinations. Yellow/ Metallic combination is excellent in the North-West. Yet Red/Metallic combinations are very bad in the North-West.
Energising the luck of the North-West
Metal is the element of the North-West - so metal appliances, televisions, stereos and computers are good in this area. In the Productive Cycle of elements, Earth is good for Metal - ceramics and terracotta in the right colours can also be used in the North-West. Day 9  March-09-2011
Favorable Feng Shui

You will find out that most Chinese who believes Feng Shui will put an aquarium in their house. Water is the symbol of healthy and wealthy. When the fish move in the aquarium, it means good chi circle into your body, likewise, when you bought a house near river or lake, the water will bring you lots of fortune. That is why the house are really expensive when the house nearby water.Chi prefer red. Red means good luck and keep away from the ghosts, so during Chinese new year, people will dress in red, and decorating in red.
Feng Shui master also believes there is a door god will keep us safe, so the ghost cannot go inside in his/her room. When a tiger statue put outside a door, also have the function to keep home safe. General speaking, Feng Shui prefer eve numbers because Feng Shui like pairs. For example, 90%  Chinese like 8 because it pronounce like another word "fa" which means to become wealthy.

Day 10    March-10-2011
Unfavorable Feng Shui

Compare with favorable Feng Shui, there are lots of unfavorable Feng Shui. First, feng shui masters believe that color purple on the wall may trigger blood disease. True or not, color purple is a very high vibration color fand the Feng Shui advice is to use ti sparingly. Second, it is bad put a mirror near bed, Feng Shui master said it is bad for Chi. Don't care about chi. You just image when you wake up , you see yourself in the mirror at dark night. Will you scare by youself?  Third, Living near a cemetery is also a bad idea. Have you ever notice that cemetery place are very quite? That make the place quite is called Yin Chi. Living in these places will make people depress and ill. Forth, I know American like buy house on a quiet dead-end street. However in Feng Shui principles, it is forbbiden, for dead-end street cannot make Chi circle. In my opinion, I don't believe this. I will buy a house on a quiet dead-end street when I buy a house. Last one is numbers. It's better to have even nubers because odd nubers mean broken , single, or lonley.

Day 11  March-12-2011
Feng Shui Principle For  Buying A House

1Road should not directly aim to your house. The entrance door should not face an oncoming straight   road.
2. The house should not be located in a dead end street.
3. The house should not be located in a T-junction.
4. The house should not be located in a corner lot.
5. The house should not be located in a Y-junction.
6. The house should not be located in a U-shape.
7. The house should not be located in a sharp bend.
8. There should not be a high building in front of your house and/or your house should not be surrounded by high buildings.
9. There should not be a grave, hospitals, garbage dump, airport, cemetery, funeral parlor, police station, military camp, fire station, factory, high tension power lines near your house.
10. The land should not be located between two roads.
11. A house should not be located along the highways or noisy road.
12. Check to see if your house is level with surrounding roads or higher or lower than these roads. It’s better to choose a house which is higher level than the road.
13. If a house is located along the curve with a road, be sure your house is on the inside of the curve with the road embracing your home. ( this is known as very good feng shui )
14. A house should not stand on top of a hill or steep incline.
15. A house that stand on stilts is unlucky, especially when viewed against an exposed hillside.
16. Square shaped houses are good feng shui.
17. Make sure there is no sharp poison arrow energy such as a high wall nearby, a transmission tower, a tree trunk, a tall straight building, the edge of two walls, a telephone poll, a triangular roof line, a straight road direct to the entrance of the house.
18. Direction of the entrance door. East, Southeast, South or Northwest
are all good entrance direction in feng shui.

Day 12,  March-12-2011
Feng Shui My Bed Room

Bedroom is a place where you spend 1/3 of your time so having proper balance of yin and yang is very essential, some yang energy is essential, because it helps you stay motivated get going with your day-to-day chores but too much yang on the other hand can drive you nuts! It can make you feel chaotic, frenzied and over-stimulated. It can make you feel too passionate, so that you can never just sit back and relax in your bed room.
A command position for your bed room in Feng Shui means that you face the door from the far side of the room but are not directly in front of the door. The part of the room diagonally farthest from the entry offers the best Command Position for your bed, it is this position, you are able to benefit from the Chi that enters and flows through the space, while being far enough removed from the doorway that you are not exposed to Chi that is too strong.
Another Feng Shui bed room tip is that you keep your bed in a position that provides a solid wall behind you for support. Using this position puts you in visual command of the space, and allows you to face life directly, both literally and symbolically.
Sleeping in line with the door also exposes you to excessive Chi, which can contribute to stress, irritability and health problems, but keeping your bed in commanding position prevents you from negative influences and puts you in control of your space and of your life.
Another Feng Shui bed room tip that I would like to mention about is that never keep your working desk or computer in your bedroom. The logic behind this Feng Shui tip is that the energy of computer (work) and that of rest (bed) are opposite to each other and are therefore incompatible to each other. But in case you cannot avoid this combination you can at least separate the two by using Feng Shui.

Day 13  March-13-2011
Rumor About Bruce Lee's Death In Feng Shui Way

Kung Fu master meets feng shui disater. This is a story of a true tragedy that occurred in Hong Kong, involving Feng Shui. The kung fu actor Bruce Lee decided to buy a house in a valley that got a lot of wind, and the wind can destroy chi. Lots of people don't understand why he chose that area. He was wealthy and could have lived anywhere in Hong Kong, but he still bought the house. In order to changed his feng shui, he put a mirror on a tree in his backyard. However a storm destroyed the tree, and he never replaced it or the mirror. Now doctors concluded that he died of a cerebal edeman which is an accumulation of fluid on the brain. There is also another rumor about Bruce lee's Death in Feng Shui Way. Feng Shui masters believed Bruce Lee should not have returned to Hong Kong. For Bruce Lee's Chinese name was Hsiao Lung, "Little Dragon" and opposite Hong Kong across the straits is the city of Kowloon, "Nine Dragons". Perhaps by hindsight, it was said that the "Nine Dragons" were waiting to destroy "Little Dragon"

Day 14  March-14-2011
 Pentagon and White house

According to Chinese traditional culture, 9 and 5 are related to  loyal buildings, and this two number have the most power. These two numbers are only belong to King. If someone used, he/she would be killed.Chinese ancestor divided numbers into yang and yin. ( It is similar like even and odd number) . In yang division, 9 is the highest. It stands king. Five is in the middle of yang numbers. It means the central of the power. When 9 and 5 combine together, it means the authority of the emperor. Lots of buildings were built in Chinese palace like Tian An Men has five doors, but these building are only be seen in Palace, for these numbers were forbidden by kings. However, American also have a Defense Building, which is famous know that it looks like pentagon. The interesting is that Feng Shui rumor said that this pentagon building has the authority of the emperor, so American actually is controlled by pentagon. White house has less power than defense house, for almost every president have to have a war. If he did not want have a war, then the president could not stay in his position for long time.

Conclusion

During the 14 days project, I was overwhelmed. Feng Shui is mysterious for everyone because it is untangible. The more Feng Shui you know, the more you will know that you don't know about Feng Shui. English is not my first language, so when I was doing the project, I tried to search in Chinese. However, Chinese websites don't show as much as English website. That makes me even difficult to finish this project. In order for reader better understanding, I cited some articles  from the website.
When I was doing this project, I was conflict with Feng Shui. According to Feng Shui's Principle, I did lots of things that Feng Shui doesn't like. I just like the way that I used to be, and I don't want change. Besides, I don't have any religions. From 1950-1980, Chinese were forbidden to have a any religions by the governors. They classify Feng Shui as religion as well. Later when government
let people have freedom to have religions. Young generation don't believe there is god any more . They believe science. When the Feng Shui is unlogic, young generation just think that's funny story.
However, when I realized I did something that againsted Feng Shui law, I told myself that I should adjust as well, for maybe I will gain more benefits from Chi, and it will makes me better. Sometimes I told myself don't be stubborn. I need to change my thought.
After finish this project , it is hard for me to say whether we should believe Feng Shui or not. On the one hand, I respect Feng Shui. From 14 days project I found out that Feng Shui apply everything under the natural law. Feng Shui cares about harmony. It wants everything in pairs, and keep everything  in balance. For example, Bagua logo have has different colors. One half is white which means male, and another half is black which means female. On the other hand, I found many ridiculous and supertition ideas. Feng shui master believes that the number 4, we should avoid to use it because it means dead. When you go to hotel in Chinese community, you will find out there is no nuber four on the doors sometimes. Feng shui master also believes that when people died in the house, he/she should not buy it, for it will bring him/her bad luck.
From this project I also found out that oversea Chinese are different from Chinese. Oversea Chinese get education from outside China-mainland. There are no government limited them like main-land China. They have a lot freedom to believe their religion. Feng Shui is one of Chinese religions. As a result there are huge numbers people believes in Feng Shui. When I google it, I can found lots of information about Feng Shui. This can also reflects in other fields like education, thoght, and attitude about life.
In my opinion, Feng Shui is one of our culture heritage , we should value it. No matter is superstition or not. If we follow the principle, we may change our life better; besides, it will not hurt you if you do it.
Fenshui contains lots of knowledge. It is impossible to introduce all of them. What I introduce is just a little of them. However, these directions and favorable ,unfavorable feng shui are useful in our daily life. One of my classmate told me that after he followed Fengshui way and moved his desk toward Northeast, he got  A on each course last quarter.
